Your First Visit
What to expect from your first appointment with Josh Arden at The Dyer Street Clinic in Cirencester.
Appointments and fees
Your first chiropractic consultation is approximately 60 minutes and costs £65. Follow-up appointments are approximately 30 minutes and cost £51. Please check the clinic’s current fees when booking.
Before you arrive
Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move easily. Bring a list of your medication and any relevant scan reports or letters you already have. Think about what your symptoms are stopping you doing and the questions you would like to ask.
Your consultation and assessment
We begin by discussing your symptoms, medical history, general health and what you want to get back to. We also consider how work, activity, sleep and other daily demands may relate to your experience. An examination then explores the movements and physical tests relevant to your problem. I explain what each part involves, and you can ask questions or pause at any time.
Understanding the findings
I explain what the assessment suggests, discuss your options and agree a plan with you. If further investigation or another clinician’s opinion is needed, we discuss the next steps. Your preferences and circumstances help guide the approach.
Will I have treatment on the day?
The initial appointment includes time for treatment where appropriate, following assessment and your agreement. This may include advice, hands-on care or exercises. Treatment is not automatic: the priority is understanding your problem and deciding what is suitable for you.
After your appointment
We discuss practical steps you can take at home, which may include exercises and adjustments to activity. Any follow-up plan depends on your needs, goals and response. We review progress together and adapt the plan, with the aim of helping you manage your health and return to the activities you value.

I work at The Dyer Street Clinic, 82 Dyer Street, Cirencester, GL7 2PF. Nearby parking includes the Forum, Beeches and Waterloo car parks; check local signs for charges and restrictions. If you have mobility or access requirements, please call the clinic before your visit so the team can discuss suitable arrangements.
